These are what I purchased this week. (The nice man in the big brown truck delivered them to me. He always brings me such nice things!)
And this is what my kitchen looks like.
The more I can't cook, the more I think I want to. (Even though I probably only cook 3-4 times a week when I DO have a kitchen.)
I got a lot of sympathy on Facebook a couple of days ago by saying my smile was getting a little "stiff." What do you think? Does this even qualify as a smile? I'm taking refuge in my former neighbor Lindy's advice. She reminded me "it will all be worth it in the end!" I can't wait to see the finished project!

Come visit me! And bring your new books! We'll cook up a storm and you can then be excited to return to a functional kitchen (maybe)! ;D (And, yes, actually, I'm totally serious. If you guys want to completely bail and move to Utah for a week or two, I'm game.)
I'm a bit jealous...not so much of your poor torn apart kitchen (though I am sure it will be beautiful when you are done). But the cookbooks look amazingly fun. I love cookbooks..it is a sickness of mine. I must get it from my mom. :)
