This year, though, I'm having a little trouble drumming up my usual cheer. Work and money troubles, the election, family tension...I've let it all get me a little down. Thus no posts for two weeks! I've decided to just bite the bullet and be cheerful no matter what. I think I'll count my blessings...

First and foremost I am grateful for my Savior and for my testimony of his restored church. I am so thankful to know about the great plan of happiness and to have its direction in my life. I can't imagine how I would live without this knowledge and testimony. (If you are interested in more information visit mormon.org.)

Second only to my love for God is my love for these people. Boy, we have our faults and squabbles, but I can't even look at this motley crew without being almost overcome with how much I love and care about each one of them. Life wouldn't be the same without every single face. I look forward to more and more family and family time as the years pass by...
And as much as I hate to do office work, go to meetings, and talk to people on the phone I am extremely grateful to have work to do-especially this year! My job with our construction company has allowed me to work at home my whole married life. To plan my days the way that works best for my family, to take time off when I need it, to volunteer in my kids' schools, to do my church responsibilities whenever I need to, and to have an income that has allowed me a lot of freedom and advantages...Even in this VERY lean year we have managed to stay afloat and keep busy with enough work that we haven't had to shut down yet. I consider Jetco Construction Inc. one of my great blessings!
I could keep going, but I need to get Maddie off to school. Hope you have a great day!

Linda,
Just last week Leslie and I were discussing what an amazing person you are and what an outstanding family you have. Just wanted to let you know how highly I think of you. You always have a smile on. ALWAYS. Thanks for the great example!
What a great post Linda.
The picture of your grandson in the machinery is so cute. I don't know what to call that thing. I am not familiar with that kind of equipment. I would have to say ditto to the top comment left on this post. You have always been a great example to me and you are always happy and I too think very highly of you!
Linda - sounds like you need a little scrapbook retreat to bring a little cheer - good thing it's coming quickly! I just wish I could be there with you all. I will miss seeing you and the rest of my scrapbooking buddies!
Well you fake it pretty good Linda! You look VERY happy in the picture and I feel about the same as you do about now so Amen to everything you said!
Thank you for being such an inspiration! I love you!
