Quote of the Moment

In the tradition of The Amazing Anderkids (man, those kids are funny!) here is our whispered conversation in the middle of church yesterday.
Aubrey, age 4, looking at numbers written on Maddie's hand: Did everyone get a "7" and a "5" or just you?
Maddie: Everyone had a different number.
Nana: Did you know those numbers or did Maddie tell them to you?
Aubrey: I just knew them.
Nana: Man, you are getting smarter every day. You are one smart girl!
Aubrey: (Stares at Nana for a few seconds) FROGS are not smart. They eat each other! One frog swallows the other frog and it gets stuck in his throat. And then they BOTH die!!

Um. Yeah. Those frogs. They are really dumb.

I didn't know how to respond to that one. Just had to laugh out loud!

I love having grandchildren!

Get Busy!

Why don't I just buckle down (or is it "knuckle down?" I can't decide!**) and pay my bills?

Looking at old photos is making me sad, anyway!

Pink Princess

Doesn't this little girl look like a princess?

Susan wore this dress to church when she was little and now Aubrey fits in it. She is a doll!
She's even cute when looking "less than ladylike!"

Amulek's Visit

Oh, yes. And Amy and Lamoni's too...:) They all came to see us last week. We had a fun visit.

This little boy can smile now.

His Aunt Maddie smiles whenever she holds him.

He does love his Aunt Maddie.

We sure do love him. (Oh yes. And his mommy and daddy too!)

Camp NANA - Pirateland

Aaar! Watch out for these guys!

Can you mark "X" on the spot blindfolded?

There be treasure buried in that-there sandbox...

Lunch included octo-dogs, pirates on a log, and breadstick x’s. A big hit! Notice the Build-a-Bear pirate dogs and princesses we sewed and stuffed.

This may have been the most fun Camp Nana yet...

Camp NANA

Just finished the second official session of Camp Nana.

Last Monday was Gardenland and we started out with everyone posing for a photo in their Camp Nana shirts, fashioned by Aunt Ally.

We made beautiful garden stones and planted carrot seeds.

Our Pot Puppets made them look very festive.

This week was Jungleland and we made lion puppets, pebble animals, and sugar cookies.
We also sewed animal cards. Each session included songs, stories, games and activities too.

We still have Pirateland and Nanaland left, plus Little Mermaid at Tuacahn next Monday. More photos then!
