I had some new and exciting quilt magazines and I knew I didn't have time to make a quilt, but...

It doesn't take long to cut a few flannel strips and sew them together.
And it IS my good friend Georgia's surprise baby, Macie's, 2nd birthday today. I thought she might enjoy a new baby and a doll quilt to go with it!

I had six fat quarters of brightly colored flannel and some plain white fabric. I made a tiny little (one-inch squares) four-patch pattern.
Maddie asked, "Mom, how can you make a quilt for Georgia when Georgia [master long-arm machine quilter] does all your quilting for you?" I answered that I knew it was a bit like "taking home-grown tulips to the queen of the Netherlands" but I was doing it anyway.
When Macie looked in her gift bag she got a big smile on her face and said, "It's a baby!" Just the reaction we were hoping for!

That sure is cute. Sydney's babies are very cold you know....
Very cute!!! Lucky Macie!
Wow, that quilt is adorable. I aspire to some day make something half that presentable. And I really do love the color combination. It's fantastic.
Happy Birthday, to You!
Happy Birthday, to you, Happy Birthday (tomorrow)
Happy Birthday to you!!!
Wish we were closer.

Hey Linda. I replied to your family photo question the other day, but I keep getting this warning messages saying the delivery is delayed, and looks like another one came that says it failed. So, do you have another email address you can send to me?
WOW!!! I love it! Hope you can find time to some more amazing things - even when Uncle Jeff gets back! :) Love you!
What a cute quilt. I have the desire to quilt, but the scrapbooking of the weddings is way behind, I am still working on finishing Kendra's wedding pages. Maybe I should just do a dolly quilt and call it good too. So cute cute!
The quilt is so cute! You are so talented..I think it would take me a year to make something like that!
